Three important persons from Una district have been appointed as SVEEP Icons at the district level to educate and motivate the general public for their participation in the electoral process during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal have issued orders in this regard. He said that in the sports category, Padmashree and Arjun awardee, DSP Una Ajay Singh Thakur, in the youth sports category, Indian Kabaddi team player Vishal Bhardwaj and in the disabled category, Principal of Special Shelter Special School, Dehlan, Miss Amarjeet Kaur have been appointed sweep icons.

Apart from this, in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has appointed Assistant Expenditure Supervisors for the five assembly constituencies. He told that Sanjay Namaran has been appointed as CPO, District Level Assistant Expenditure Supervisor, Manish Kumar has been appointed as Assistant Manager UCO Bank, 41-Chintpurni (SC), Kuldeep Kumar ACFA, has been appointed as 42-Gagret, Kamal Kishore has been appointed as Section Officer, 43-Haroli, Jagdev Singh Dadhwal. Deputy Manager Punjab National Bank has been appointed as Assistant Expenditure Supervisor for 44-Una and Deepak Chaudhary AACFA for 45-Kutlahar Assembly Constituency.

Apart from this, District Account Officer PWD Amit Kumar and Senior Manager Bank of Baroda Suresh Kumar Gautam have been kept in reserve.
