Himachal: Tourism Continuously Increasing, Gathering of 28,239 Foreign Tourists During Weekends and Snowfall
To ensure smooth and safe movement of traffic on Kiratpur-Manali National Highway, three Traffic-cum-Tourist Police Stations (hereinafter referred to as TTPS) have been created in Central Range (Mandi) at Bhaged, Nerchowk in District Bilaspur.

Tourist places of Himachal Pradesh are witnessing a huge influx of tourists during the weekend and holiday season. Especially people from the plains are coming to see the tourist cities of Himachal Pradesh. Famous tourist destinations in the state, including the Atal Tunnel Rohtang, acclaimed as the world’s longest tunnel at 9.2 kilometers long and 10,000 feet high, have seen a huge increase in tourist footfall. Around 65,000 tourists had visited Atal Tunnel, Rohtang along with over 12,000 vehicles to celebrate Christmas Eve and New Year 2024.
Himachal Pradesh Police Headquarters said that till June 2023, 99,78,504 domestic and 28,239 foreign tourists have visited the hill state of Himachal Pradesh.
Increase in tourist arrivals in the first half of last year 2023 has been attributed to the Himachal government’s tireless efforts to strengthen the tourism infrastructure.
To ensure smooth and safe movement of traffic on Kiratpur-Manali National Highway, three Traffic-cum-Tourist Police Stations (hereinafter referred to as TTPS) have been created in Central Range (Mandi) at Bhaged, Nerchowk in District Bilaspur.
