Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has announced the Himachal Ranji cricket team for the Ranji Trophy competition. Ankit Kalsi of Una district has been given the most important responsibility of captaincy in the seventeen-member Ranji cricket team of Himachal Pradesh. In the Ranji Trophy competition, Himachal Pradesh Ranji cricket team is going to start its seven matches from January 5 under the captaincy of Ankit Kalsi. Along with the seventeen-member Ranji cricket team of Himachal Pradesh, eight players have been selected as standby in the Ranji cricket team. Himachal Pradesh Ranji cricket team includes Captain Ankit Kalsi, Ekant Sen, Prashant Chopra, Amit Kumar, Sumit Verma, Nikhil Gangta, Akash Vashistha, Rishi Dhawan, Ankush Bains, Mayank Dagar, Gurvinder Singh, Vaibhav Arora, Arpit Guleria, Vinay Galatia, Avikash Along with Shubham Arora, Naveen Kanwar has been selected.

Along with the seventeen-member Ranji cricket team, Mahesh Thakur, Mukul Negi, Prithviraj Singh, Rajat Verma, Ankush Bedi, Pankaj Jaswal, Haritilak Kalia as well as Vipan Sharma have been kept in standby. Himachal Pradesh Ranji cricket team will leave for Jammu on Tuesday, January 2 to play its first match. The first match of Himachal Pradesh Ranji cricket team in Jammu will be played between Jammu and Kashmir Ranji cricket team from January 5 to January 8. After playing the first match, Himachal Pradesh Ranji cricket team is going to play its four Ranji matches at Dharamshala Cricket Stadium.

Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Secretary Avneesh Parmar told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the captaincy of Himachal Pradesh cricket team for BCCI’s domestic Ranji Trophy cricket competition has been handed over to Ankit Kalsi. Himachal Pradesh Ranji cricket team will leave for Jammu to play its first match on January 2. Avnish Parmar said that along with the seventeen-member Ranji cricket team of Himachal Pradesh, eight players have been selected as standby players. On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh cricket team is going to play its four Ranji Trophy competition matches at Dharamshala International Cricket Stadium.
