After Nigulsari National Highway in Kinnaur district, now National Highway 5 Nigulsari has been completely closed due to the fall of huge sharp rocks near Chaura Tunnel.
Kinnaur district administration said that due to sudden massive landslide and fall of sharp rocks in Chaura at 8 am in the morning, National Highway 5 Nigulsari has been completely closed for vehicular movement.
Due to the closure of National Highway 5 Nigulsari, Kinnaur district headquarters has been completely cut off from the capital Shimla. On the other hand, due to the closure of National Highway 5 Nigulsari, there are long queues of vehicles on both sides of the highway. Due to repeated closure of National Highway 5 Nigulsari in Kinnaur district, the troubles of farmers and gardeners of Kinnaur district have increased.
National Highway Authority’s XEN KL Suman told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that National Highway 5 Nigulsari has been completely closed due to continuous falling of sharp rocks in Chaura since morning. KL Suman said that efforts are being made by the district administration and NHAI to restore National Highway 5.
