The Dubai based company presented to the Chief Minister the proposal of providing the facility of drone technology to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the supply of medicines and vaccines in the remote and tribal areas of entire Himachal Pradesh and due to which the representatives of United Parcel Service Company Have met Chief Minister Sukhu.

The Dubai company is fully prepared to supply medical services through drones to the remote and tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh.

Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today made this offer while paying a courtesy visit to Christina Struler da Costa, Vice President of United Parcel Service Company and Dinkar Singh, Director of the company. United Parcel Service, one of the world’s largest logistics companies, said that it is fully prepared to assist in the relief and rehabilitation work of Himachal Pradesh. The Dubai-based company has offered to the Himachal Pradesh government to provide drone technology to deliver medicines and vaccines to remote and tribal areas across Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, United Parcel Service Company has also assured the Himachal Pradesh government of free supply of essential medicines and vaccines.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his gratitude on the proposal of United Parcel Service Company for the delivery of health services in remote areas of Himachal Pradesh. Also, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh said that digital Himachal Pradesh Governance Department along with Technology will prepare a detailed proposal on this proposal and Himachal Pradesh Government will take appropriate decisions regarding drone services as per the detailed proposal.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh has suffered huge losses due to heart-wrenching rainfall, landslides and flood situations during monsoon and monsoon season. The Government of Himachal Pradesh is providing relief to the disaster affected using all the limited resources available in the state. Himachal Pradesh government has allocated a special relief package of Rs 4500 crore for relief and rehabilitation works.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that with the invaluable cooperation of the people of Himachal Pradesh, a significant contribution of more than Rs 200 crore has been made to the disaster relief fund.
