Shimla (DIARYTIMES) -NPS Employees Union has thanked the Himachal Pradesh state government for the restoration of OPS in Himachal. The Sangh says that this is the victory of their long struggle. At the same time, there has also been talk of preparing a road map for the return of the money deposited with the Center in the new pension scheme.
Addressing a press conference in Shimla, State President of NPS Employees Union Pradeep Thakur said that after a long struggle, old pension has been restored for NPS employees. Their demand was not being heard, whereas the Sukhu government has fulfilled its promise when it came to power.
Today, State President of New Pension Scheme Employees Federation, Mr. Pradeep Thakur thanked the Chief Minister of the state, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and the government for the restoration of the old pension during the press conference at Shimla Press Club.
He said that in Himachal Pradesh, the government headed by respected Mr. Sukhwinder Singh has restored the same pension which was given before 2003 i.e. CCS Pension Rule 1972 pension will be given to the employees of Himachal Pradesh.
He said that soon the GPF accounts of the state employees would also be opened. The state government has given sixty days time to the employees to choose either the old pension scheme or the new pension scheme, the employees should be given this option in their department.
Pradeep Thakur said that even today some people are trying to mislead by doing wrong propaganda of OPS to bake their political breads. This is exactly old pension, soon GPF accounts will be opened. Employees have 60 days to choose OPS or NPS. Everyone will choose OPS.
The State Government is also making continuous efforts to bring back the NPS money from the Centre. If the money is not returned, the workers have also fought for OPS which will move towards Delhi. A strategy will be prepared for this.
