In a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh, the state government has approved an expansion project worth ₹8.42 crore for Haroli Hospital. The move is expected to enhance medical facilities in the region and improve access to quality healthcare services for local residents.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri announced on Sunday that administrative approval has been granted for the project, which will primarily focus on increasing the hospital’s in-patient bed capacity from the existing 50 beds to 100 beds. The expansion will also include the development of additional infrastructure and essential healthcare facilities to meet the growing medical needs of the area.

Speaking about the initiative, Agnihotri said the state government remains committed to strengthening healthcare services, particularly in rural and remote regions. He emphasized that residents should have access to affordable and quality medical treatment without having to travel long distances to larger cities.

The hospital has already witnessed significant improvements in recent months. According to the Deputy Chief Minister, advanced ultrasound and X-ray equipment have been installed to enhance diagnostic capabilities and provide faster, more accurate medical assessments for patients.

To further improve healthcare delivery, the government has also posted specialist doctors from multiple disciplines at Haroli Hospital. Specialists in medicine, surgery, gynaecology, paediatrics, and dental care are currently serving at the institution. Their presence is expected to reduce the need for patient referrals to higher medical centres, ensuring that more treatments can be provided locally.

The expansion project is being viewed as a major step toward improving public healthcare infrastructure in Una district and surrounding areas. Once completed, the upgraded facility is expected to offer better patient care, increased treatment capacity, and enhanced medical services for thousands of residents.

With the latest investment, the Himachal Pradesh government continues its efforts to modernize healthcare facilities and make quality medical services more accessible across the state.
