Avalanche in the Dhauladhar Hills Caught on Camera, Viral Video Stuns Viewers

Around 5 p.m. on October 7, two women were filming a simple reel against a snow-clad backdrop — unaware that nature was about to put on a rare and terrifying display.
A breathtaking scene from Himachal Pradesh’s Dhauladhar Hills became the talk of social media after a massive avalanche was captured live on camera.
The video, filmed near the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha complex in Tapovan, Dharamshala, has left viewers both astonished and alarmed.
The Dhauladhar range — recently transformed into a pristine white wonderland — has been drawing tourists and locals eager to experience the beauty of early winter.
As the camera focused on the majestic peaks, a huge section of the mountain suddenly gave way, sending tons of snow cascading down in a thunderous avalanche.
The dramatic footage, posted on social media, has since gone viral, amassing thousands of views and shares across platforms. Netizens have described it as a “live glimpse of nature’s fury,” calling it both “mesmerizing” and “chilling.”
Eyewitnesses from Dharamshala and Palampur said the avalanche was visible even from the foothills, with a vast plume of white snow sweeping down the slopes of the Dhauladhar mountains.
