Himachal Pradesh is expected to witness another round of light rain in some areas today.
According to the state meteorological department, light showers are likely in parts of Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts on September 24. Thereafter, the weather is expected to remain largely dry across the state from September 25 to 29. Maximum and minimum temperatures during this period are likely to stay close to normal.
The department further noted that conditions are becoming increasingly favorable for the southwest monsoon to withdraw from several parts of Himachal Pradesh and other states within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours, a few areas of Himachal recorded light rainfall, though most parts of the state experienced dry weather.
Minimum temperatures in most regions were 3°C to 7°C above normal, ranging between 7°C and 25°C. Maximum temperatures were also 2°C to 3°C above normal, recorded between 19°C and 36°C. Shimla registered a maximum of 25°C, Dharamshala 28°C, and Manali 26.8°C.
