Adarsh Verma, a resident of Ward No. 5 in Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh, has been promoted to the rank of Major General in the Indian Army. With this remarkable achievement, he has brought great pride not only to his hometown but to the entire state. Major General Verma has also been honored with the prestigious Vishisht Seva Medal for his distinguished service.
He has assumed command of the Indian Army’s Agnivaj Division in Pune, Maharashtra, taking over from Major General Amar Pal Singh Chehal, Sena Medal.
Upon taking command, Major General Verma urged all officers and soldiers to remain committed to duty, stay prepared for future challenges, and focus on advancing technological capabilities. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high morale and prioritizing mission-oriented training.
