Shimla, July 15: The recent natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh have devastated numerous homes and caused widespread damage across the state. The estimated loss so far stands at nearly ₹1,000 crore, underscoring the urgent need for substantial assistance.
Naresh Chauhan, Principal Media Advisor to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has called on the Central Government to immediately provide a special relief package for Himachal Pradesh. He emphasized that the scale of destruction is significant, particularly in the Seraj region of Mandi district, which has been the worst hit.
Chauhan further demanded that disaster-affected families be granted rights to forest land for rebuilding their homes. He urged BJP Members of Parliament from Himachal to raise this issue with the Modi government and advocate for the state’s rightful support.
He reiterated that Himachal Pradesh is in dire need of central assistance and appealed to the Union Government to deliver a comprehensive relief package to help the state recover and support the people who have lost everything in the disaster.
