Red Cross Volunteers Meet Chief Minister on World Red Cross Day
Shimla, May 8 – On the occasion of World Red Cross Day 2025, children and Red Cross volunteers paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla. During the interaction, the volunteers presented Red Cross stickers to the Chief Minister, who also made a contribution to the Red Cross Fund. He appealed to the public to generously support the fund in the spirit of compassion and solidarity.
The Chief Minister lauded the dedication of Red Cross volunteers, noting that they have consistently served humanity selflessly and without personal gain. He emphasized that World Red Cross Day is a moment to acknowledge and express gratitude for the tireless efforts of volunteers around the globe.
“These individuals stand on the frontlines during times of crisis, ensuring timely delivery of relief materials and offering a ray of hope to those affected,” he said.
The event was also attended by Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, CM’s Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, Shimla Municipal Corporation councillors, and members of the Himachal Pradesh Red Cross Society.
