3-Point Quick Take:

  1. BJP Demands Action Against Pakistani Nationals in Himachal
The BJP staged state-wide protests demanding the Himachal Pradesh government identify and deport Pakistani nationals residing in the state, following a deadly terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir.

  2. Bindal Slams Congress for Inaction
BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal criticized the Congress-led state government for remaining silent and allegedly shielding illegal residents, warning of state-wide agitation if action isn’t taken.

  3. Support for Centre’s Anti-Terror Measures
The BJP condemned the Pahalgam attack, paid tribute to victims, and voiced full support for the Modi government’s tough stance and zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.

Shimla, May 5: In a strong response to the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where 27 innocent Hindu tourists lost their lives, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged protests across all 17 organizational districts of Himachal Pradesh. In Shimla, a massive protest led by BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal was held at CTO Chowk.

Following the demonstration, a memorandum was submitted to the District Collector demanding immediate identification and expulsion of any Pakistani nationals residing in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bindal stated, “This is not merely an attack on tourists—it is an attack on the soul of India.” He emphasized the need for decisive and retaliatory action, adding that the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already taken strong diplomatic steps and convened an all-party meeting to unite the nation in its response.

Dr. Bindal noted that the Centre has clearly resolved to expel all Pakistani nationals, whether residing legally or illegally, from the country. “While other states have begun identifying and deporting such individuals, the Congress-led government in Himachal remains completely silent—no action, no investigation,” he said.

He accused the Congress government of compromising state security for political gain, alleging that it is protecting Pakistani nationals in Himachal, which poses a serious threat to national security.

Dr. Bindal warned that the Congress’s politics of appeasement is now taking root in Himachal. “The country is already facing the consequences of illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltration. If Himachal repeats the same mistake, BJP will not remain silent,” he cautioned. He highlighted that in several states, Pakistani nationals have lived illegally for 20–25 years, with their children becoming registered voters and availing government welfare benefits.

“If the state government does not act swiftly, BJP will take its fight from the streets to the assembly,” he declared.

Tributes to Victims and Support for Central Government

The BJP’s Shimla district unit strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack and paid tribute to the slain tourists. It also expressed full support for the central government’s firm measures against terrorism and demanded a zero-tolerance policy toward those who compromise the country’s internal security.

Present at the occasion were BJP organizational secretary Siddharthan, former minister Suresh Bhardwaj, candidate Sanjay Sood, Ravi Mehta, state treasurer Kamaljeet Sood, state secretary Sanjay Thakur, media co-in-charge Sudip Mahajan, Rama Thakur, office secretary Pramod Thakur, Kiran Bawa, district president Keshav Chauhan, presidents of BJP’s frontal organizations, mandal presidents, and numerous dedicated party workers.
