Himachal’s Braveheart Martyred: CM, Dy CM & Opposition Leader Mourn Subedar Kuldeep Chand’s Sacrifice
Tributes pour in for the martyr from village Kohlwin in Hamirpur; leaders express solidarity with the grieving family
Shimla, April 13:
The martyrdom of Subedar Kuldeep Chand, a valiant soldier from village Kohlwin, Tehsil Nadaun in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, has left the entire state in mourning. The brave soldier laid down his life during a counter-terrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor sector, protecting the nation with unwavering courage.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed deep sorrow and offered heartfelt condolences to the martyr’s family. He said, “The supreme sacrifice made by Subedar Kuldeep Chand in the line of duty will always be remembered. The nation will remain forever indebted to him.” The Chief Minister also assured that the state government stands firmly with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri also expressed his heartfelt tribute to the braveheart, stating, “Kuldeep Chand’s valor and devotion to duty make him a true son of Bharat Mata. His courage will inspire generations to come.”
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur joined in expressing grief and solidarity. He extended condolences to the family and said, “We bow to the martyrdom of Subedar Kuldeep Kumar ji. May the Almighty grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss.”
The entire region, especially Hamirpur district, is engulfed in mourning following the news. Subedar Kuldeep Chand is remembered not only as a brave soldier but also as a proud son of Himachal who exemplified courage, discipline, and patriotism till his last breath.
His martyrdom comes as a grim reminder of the ongoing sacrifices made by the Indian armed forces at the borders to protect the country’s sovereignty. The nation salutes the heroism of Subedar Kuldeep Chand and stands united in honoring his legacy.
