Shimla, February 26: Recognising his contribution to entrepreneurial development, the Confederation of Indian Industry, Himachal Pradesh Chapter (CII HP), has appointed Deepan Garg as the new businessman president Also, Sanjay Suri has been inducted as the Vice President of CII Himachal accompanying him and reflects the new leadership team which will play a vital role to boost industrial growth and address the key issues before industries in the region.
Garg was appointed as the CMD of WellPack Industries and has a lengthy career background in the industrial space. With over 40 years of their family involvement in the industry in Himachal Pradesh, his father, Umesh Garg, was not only himself a pioneer in establishing industries during the era in the Kala Amb area, even before government industrial incentives were given. The Garg family has a strong legacy in businesses of Ruchira Paper Mills, Hotel Black Mango (Himachal Pradesh) etc.
Carrying forward this legacy is Deepan Garg who has been the architect behind building WellPack Industries into one of the leading names in the paper industry. Garg, who joined the industry 15 years ago and is playing a key role in building WellPack Industries into a brand that stands accepted and innovative in the arena.

Deepan Garg, speaking in a telephonic conversation after the announcement of his appointment said that the agenda of CII Himachal would primarily be based upon 2-3 things which were related to industries which the industries of the state are facing.
