Sirmaur, January 28: Asan Barrage of Sirmaur district, adjacent to the border of Himachal and Uttarakhand, is full of foreign birds these days. So far, hundreds of colorful guests from Siberia and the country and abroad have arrived at Asan Barrage.

Asan Barrage Junior Engineer Naveen Sharma said that Asan Barrage is a favorite place for birds from the country and abroad in winters. So far, hundreds of water birds of more than half a dozen species including Ruddy shelduck i.e. Surkhaab have arrived here from Siberia.

Migratory water birds start arriving in Asan Wetland from October and these birds stay here till March.

Many species of water birds have arrived at Asan Barrage from Siberia, China, Kazakhstan.

For the safety of these birds, they are being monitored through CCTV cameras.
