Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi announced that the Cabinet has approved a re-survey of BPL families, set to take place in April. As part of the new guidelines, the eligibility threshold for annual income has been raised to Rs 1.5 lakh, which will benefit approximately 2.82 lakh families. The Cabinet also gave its approval for the formation of a special task force to tackle the growing issue of drug addiction in the state. Furthermore, it was decided that the cutting of all trees would be prohibited, except for Safeda, Bamboo, and Poplar.

The Himachal Cabinet reached a consensus to submit a proposal to the central government, requesting that the funding for the Kishau project be maintained in a 90:10 ratio.

These decisions reflect the Cabinet’s commitment to bringing about substantial improvements in the state’s administration, environmental policies, and social welfare initiatives.
