Shimla, January 05: In a significant move marking the start of the new year, the Himachal Pradesh government has appointed two Congress leaders to key positions in the state’s industrial development sector.

As part of a series of appointments to fill vacant positions, the state government has named Vikesh Chauhan from Sarahan Bushahr and Ramesh Desaik from Shillai as non-official Directors of the Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (HPSIDC).

A formal notification was issued on Saturday announcing their appointments.

Vikesh Chauhan, the son of Devi Das from Sarahan, Tehsil Rampur in Shimla district, and Ramesh Desaik, a resident of Shillai village and post office in Sirmaur district, have been nominated to these prestigious positions. The appointments come as the state government works to fill several key roles within various boards and corporations under its purview.
