Kupvi, 03 December – Villagers have expressed their anger over the closure of the Jubilee-Mashot bus in Kupvi, a remote area of Shimla district. They say that this bus service has been closed for the last four months due to which they are facing a lot of problems in commuting. However, this bus passes through most of the panchayats of Kupvi, which used to provide convenience to the people coming to Kupvi tehsil and the children going to school and college. They say that since this bus has been closed, there is a big burden on the pockets of the people, but most of the people have also lost their connection with the tehsil. If they have to come to Kupvi tehsil for any work, then they are able to travel only one way in a day.

Women of Jubilee and Mashot warned the transport department about the closure of this route and said that if this bus is not made operational, then they will not hesitate to come out on the roads.

Women say that where we used to reach home or Kupvi by paying Rs 20, now due to the absence of the bus, Due to this they have to pay 100 rupees.

The women told the department and the government that the bus should be run smoothly otherwise they should be ready to face the consequences.
