Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Employees Union has strongly criticized the ruling Congress party government after the state High Court ordered the closure of 18 loss-making HPTDC hotels with immediate effect. Addressing a press conference in the capital Shimla on Saturday, the HPTDC Employees Union has made a big allegation on the Sukhu government and said that Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has conspired before the Himachal Pradesh High Court and has said that a total of 18 big hotels are incurring huge losses, but if the truth is assessed, then all the 18 hotels of HPTDC are not running in as much loss as the Sukhu government of the state is lying and saying that the hotels are in loss.
RS Bali is the conspirator –
The HPTDC Employees Union has made a big allegation on the Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, RS Bali, saying that as soon as he got the responsibility of HPTDC, He was preparing to privatize all the 18 hotels of HPTDC and hand them over to his friends. Along with this, the Employees Union also made a big allegation on Bali that since the time He was given the responsibility of HPTDC, till date Bali has not implemented any strong plan to improve the financial condition of the loss-making hotels of HPTDC, due to which even after two years of Sukhu government, HPTDC has become completely a victim of loss.
Employees Union suggested to hand over the responsibility of HPTDC to CM Sukhu
HPTDC Employees Union has demanded the resignation of the current Chairman of HPTDC RS Bali with immediate effect and it has been suggested that a big corporation like HPTDC running in loss should be handed over to CM Sukhu.
Government is showing hotels to be in loss –
HPTDC Employees Union says that the Sukhu government is involved in the order of closure of 18 hotels by the State High Court due to loss making as the hotels are being shown to be in loss by Sukhu government on the basis of only monthly or quarterly occupancy whereas the HPTDC hotels have income from various other sources as well whose details were not presented properly by the government and RS Bali in their report to the State High Court, due to which the State High Court has given a big order to close 18 hotels.
Liabilities of HPTDC Retired 8Employees are also the main reason –
The employees union said that Sukhu government has dues worth crores of rupees of the employees who retired from a big corporation like Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, which have not been paid yet and to solve this big issue, the state High Court has ordered Sukhu government to immediately close 18 hotels.
Liabilities worth fifty crores are pending – Employees Union
HPTDC Employees Union said that at present Sukhu government is yet to approve an amount of Rs. 50 crore to HPTDC, due to which all types of liabilities can be eliminated, but this big issue has not been raised before Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman RS Bali, the result of which is in front of everyone today that the state High Court has given direct orders to the government to immediately close 18 hotels.
