Late Champa Devi stood like a rock in the service of Jan Sangh with her husband late Devendra Chaudhary throughout her life. Her health started declining since the death of her husband about a year ago. With her death, the people of the city have lost a strong personality.
On 2 December 2023, Devendra Chaudhary, a pillar of BJP politics in Himachal Pradesh, left the world. Chaudhary, who left his job at the age of 25 and joined the ideology of Jan Sangh, kept strengthening the foundation of Jan Sangh and BJP in every way. He used to be the only person who used to provide food and night stay to those who came to campaign for Jansangh in Nahan.
Late Chaudhary used to say one thing always… ‘I want to see BJP’s lotus bloom in Nahan.’ When Dr. Rajeev Bindal won the election, he used to say… ‘Now I have got peace.’ Late Chaudhary has left behind the families of his four sons Durgesh, Praveen, Manoj and Deepak. The bereaved family said that the last rites will be performed on Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock.
