Shimla: Mahila Congress celebrates foundation day, membership campaign launched

Mahila Congress is celebrating its 40th foundation day today. On the occasion of foundation day at Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan Shimla, Mahila Congress President Zainab Chandel started the membership campaign. During this, Zainab Chandel also targeted the BJP central government.

Shimla, September 15: Mahila Congress is celebrating its 40th foundation day today. On the occasion of foundation day at Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan Shimla, Mahila Congress President Zainab Chandel started the membership campaign. During this, Zainab Chandel also targeted the BJP central government.

Retaliating to the attack made by Prime Minister Modi on the guarantees and economic condition of the Congress government of Himachal during the election rally yesterday, Zainab Chandel said that BJP makes such statements during elections. BJP is in power for ten years, did it get fifteen lakhs? They talked about bringing back black money but could not. Why did the Prime Minister not go to Manipur. She said that BJP has completely failed on women’s safety. PM talks about political things, after the elections all issues become secondary.

Jainab Chandel told that the membership campaign of Congress has been started by Alka Lamba in Delhi today. Membership campaign has also been started in Himachal. Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had founded the Mahila Congress. She is also being remembered today. Congress has always worked for women. Be it reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions or social, economic upliftment of women. She said that the membership campaign will be taken to the block and village level so that more women can be added.
