Delegation of Himachal Pradesh Police Service meets Chief Minister
A delegation of Himachal Pradesh Police Service led by Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhardwaj met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday.
Shimla, August 26: A delegation of Himachal Pradesh Police Service led by Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhardwaj met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday. They were apprised of their demands. They thanked the Chief Minister for restoring concessional travel facility in HRTC buses.
The Chief Minister assured that all their genuine demands would be considered sympathetically and the present State Government is committed to the welfare of police personnel. He said that the State Government has increased the diet money of police personnel from Rs. 210 to Rs. 1000, which has been increased five times, which is the biggest increase in the history of the State.
He praised the police force and said that they are the first line protectors who play an important role in maintaining law and order. The Chief Minister said that the police have an important role to play for a stable and peaceful society as they work diligently for justice as well as ensuring the safety of the people.
He said that police officers and personnel play a vital role in various fields of public service. Apart from their primary responsibilities, they act as first responders in times of natural calamity and distress where they provide vital assistance to the people. He said police are responsible for traffic management, enforcement of traffic laws and prompt response in case of accidents and contribute to all round public safety.
Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ashish Butail, MLA Bhoranj Suresh Kumar and MLA Sujanpur Ranjit Singh Rana were also present on the occasion.
