Himachal News: Vigilance caught Patwari Rajesh Kumar red handed taking bribe of 3 thousand, Patwari was demanding bribe in exchange for mortgage of land

Mandi, July 6: Patwari Rajesh Kumar posted in Gudah Kandhidhar Patwar office under Thunag Tehsil of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh has been caught red handed by Vigilance while taking a bribe of 3 thousand. Patwari Rajesh Kumar had additional charge of this Patwar office and was taking a bribe of 10 thousand from Bhag Chand, a resident of Barsoa village, in lieu of revenue work. Patwari Rajesh Kumar has already taken 5 thousand while the accused Patwari Rajesh Kumar was caught by Vigilance as soon as he took the second installment of 3 thousand.

A case has been registered against accused Patwari Rajesh Kumar in Vigilance Police Station Mandi. The investigation of the entire case has been handed over to Inspector Vinod Thakur.
According to the information received, Bhag Chand, a resident of Barsoa village under Thunag tehsil of Mandi district, needed a home loan and for that he had to mortgage his land with the bank.
This mortgage process was to be completed by the Patwari but the Patwari sahab was adamant that the work would not be done unless the file was weighty. A deal of Rs 10,000 was struck between Bhag Chand and the Patwari for this work.
Bhag Chand also gave the first installment of 5 thousand to the accused Patwari Rajesh Kumar. Before giving the second installment, Bhag Chand thought of vigilance and he complained about it to Vigilance Mandi. Inspector Vinod Thakur and his team laid a trap and caught the accused Patwari Rajesh Kumar red handed. SP Vigilance Kulbhushan Verma has confirmed the case.
