Una, June 29: On Saturday, a person from Barsar died a painful death by drowning in the Lathiyani Ghat of Gobind Sagar Lake in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. Let us tell you that the person who drowned used to run a vegetable shop in Barsar. He had come to the Lathiyani Ghat of Gobind Sagar Lake to feed pellets to the fishes when suddenly the said person’s feet slipped and he drowned in the Gobind Sagar Lake.

An officer of Una police said that Pradeep Kumar alias Makhan, 60 years old son of Laxmi Chand, a resident of Barsar town, had come to feed pellets to the fish at Lathiyani Ghat of Gobind Sagar Lake on Saturday at around 12:00 pm. Pradeep Kumar alias Makhan drowned in Gobind Sagar Lake after slipping while feeding pellets. Local people saw Pradeep Kumar alias Makhan drowning but by the time Pradeep Kumar alias Makhan was taken out of the water of Gobind Sagar Lake, he had died.

Confirming the entire incident, SDM Sonu Goyal said that Pradeep Kumar alias Makhan died due to slipping of his feet. He said that the body of Pradeep Kumar alias Makhan was taken out of the water and handed over to his family.
