Shimla News: SMC Teachers Along With Their Families Create Ruckus In Shimla, Demand Regularization

SMC teachers, who have been continuously agitating demanding regularization, demonstrated fiercely at Chauda Maidan on Monday.

SMC and computer teachers who came from all over Himachal Pradesh said that it has been 15 years since they have been providing services but they are not being regularized. Therefore, now a decisive movement has been started. A large number of teachers along with their families, along with the ongoing fast at CTO Chowk since January 27, have staged a sit-in protest at Chauda Maidan due to the assembly session on Monday.

The number of women teachers has been more among the teachers sitting on strike since 11:00 am. Some women teachers have joined the protest with small children.

SMC and computer teachers have raised slogans demanding regularization. During this period, police force has also been deployed at the spot.

State President Sunil Sharma, Nirmal Singh, Bela Ram, Virendra Manoj along with Birbal and the entire executive were present.

Teachers were serving in remote schools of Himachal Pradesh in the hope of becoming regular, now many of them are about to reach the age of retirement.

Teacher leaders said that the Himachal government has formed a cabinet sub-committee, they have been repeatedly assured of taking a decision regarding them soon, now these assurances will not work, until their demands are met, they will remain in the capital Shimlaand We Will continue our movement.

Till afternoon, the SMC and computer teachers continued to sit on strike at Chauda Maidan and are waiting for the Himachal Pradesh government to call them and the decision from the Himachal Pradesh Assembly.
