Mandi, August 18:
Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, claiming that he is “intoxicated by power” and believes himself to be the ultimate authority. Thakur made these remarks while addressing disaster-affected families during his visit to Dharampur Assembly constituency.

He said that Sukhu, who hails from a modest family with no political background, was once expected to govern with the perspective of a common man. “But after coming to power, he has become consumed by arrogance. Thakur further said that when the Chief Minister finally visited his home constituency of Seraj after nine days, he made tall claims but delivered little. “Against damages worth ₹1,000 crore, he merely instructed the Chief Secretary over the phone to release ₹1 crore for relief. This is the reality of a government that came to power promising change,” he remarked.
