Himachal: SMC and Computer Teachers will be Contracted soon, Important Decision to be taken in Cabinet Sub Committee Meeting
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had talked about providing relief to computer teachers in Hamirpur during the assembly elections. He had assured the teachers that they would be given relief if the Congress government is formed in Himachal. In such a situation, the Himachal Government is working to implement their demand.
Preparations are being made to bring SMC and computer teachers on contract. Recently, there was a three-hour debate in the Cabinet Sub Committee to bring SMC and computer teachers on contract.
After the decision taken in the Cabinet Sub Committee meeting, Himachal Government has sought the opinion of the Law Department in this matter.

Himachal Pradesh government believes that SMC and computer teachers have been exploited by the previous governments. Due to which the Sukhu government is considering making a concrete policy for SMC and computer teachers.
Let us tell you that the Cabinet Sub Committee has explored four options to provide relief to SMC and computer teachers. The number of teachers of these two classes is around 2600. In Himachal, SMC and computer teachers have been providing services in remote areas for the last 15 years.
In the first budget, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had increased the honorarium of SMC and computer teachers by Rs 2,000 each and now in this budget, the honorarium of these teachers has been increased by Rs 1900-1900.
