Gaiety theater is all that place before independence. Where plays used to be held earlier, the film world stepped in, art movies stepped in and today this international film festival is being created by the people of Shimla by the people of Himachal. Today I have come to the inauguration ceremony and I also sat and watched a Royal Irani movie. They make theme based pictures, make short films, I liked it very much and it was also very nice to meet the artists of Himachal. And now this festival is going on for three days. It will work. It is also very good from the tourism point of view that our artists here get a chance to show their pictures and when their pictures are seen, the maker of them feels happy and the viewer also feels happy. Director of Film Festival Push told that this time a total of 106 films from India and abroad have been selected for the festival. Out of which sixty-eight films will be screened in Shimla itself. More than fifty film producers are expected to participate in the festival. Have reached Shimla.
Shimla is the ninth addition to the festival. Every year we celebrate it at the gaiety theatre. This year it will be celebrated from 22nd to 24th September. There is screening of films, documentary feature, short film, animation, music videos Competition based for three days in the festival. There is a festival and international films are included in it at national level and state level. International we have 38 films at national level within India, other than Himachal, there are 60 films and apart from that, 5 films from Himachal we are screening in the festival. And it’s a competition based festival. When I said, there will be an award ceremony also, that is on 24 of September. Now as it is on the mall road, and entry is complimentary. There are no charges. If you are a public or a tourist of Shimla, this Come here during the weekend between 22nd to 24th September, so I think there can be a good footfall and good movies will be seen in the gaiety.
