Himachal News : Hundreds of link roads are still blocked for traffic in the state and the administration has deployed heavy machinery for their restoration. Two-way traffic has now become smooth near Chakki Mod on the Shimla-Chandigarh National Highway.

Traffic remained smooth on the Chandigarh Manali National Highway till Mandi. Beyond Mandi, traffic was blocked at several places due to landslides, Namhul Brahmaputra road in Bilaspur district has been restored for movement of small vehicles.
More than 200 roads in Mandi district are still closed for traffic, small vehicles are being sent to Kullu and Manali via Katola command route.Additional Deputy Commissioner Nivedita Negi said that the damage is being assessed and the roads will be restored. Restoration may still take time.
The Deputy Commissioner said – Due to the heavy rains that have occurred between 13 to 15 in Mandi district, our 267 PWD routes are currently closed, apart from this, the national highway from Mandi to Genda Nagar is also closed at eight places. but is blocked.
But if you go via Kataula, then that route is also open for now. Apart from this, the road from Mandi to Kullu is NH block and it will take at least a week to open it. The road from Mandi to Katola that goes to Kullu Yes, we had opened it for LMB in the morning, but now slips are coming again and again, so it is opening and closing on and off, meaning simultaneously we are removing the debris from there and passing the vehicles.
