Lahaul Spiti News : 32 crore loss due to heavy rain and landslide in Lahaul Spiti
Various departments have suffered a loss of more than thirty two crore rupees due to heavy rains and landslides and snowfall in Spiti section of Lahaul Spiti district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Jain said that apart from this, 25 bighas of land in Khulaska village has been heavily damaged. The people here have been shifted to another place safely.
He said that all the link roads of Lahaul-Spiti have been restored and all the drinking water schemes have also been made smooth. Rahul Jain told that the Gaddi people who were stranded in Chandratal have also been rescued.
He has advised tourists not to visit Chandratal for a few days in view of the latest weather forecast.
He said – After the rains that fell in our city area, all the routes of our city have been opened, even if it is the route till Chandratal, apart from that, we had asked for loss and damage reports from all the departments, which we have received.
Our total loss and damage is of thirty two crores, in which our PWD department has a mostly total growth damage, which is about fourteen and a half crores, there are some schemes of the Jal Shakti department, whether it is a water scheme or some bridge, which has suffered a lot, it has been damaged around fourteen and a half crores.
Forest nurseries, ponds and kutcha bridges have check damage, in which the damage is about 1.25 crore, apart from this, the revenue department has also assessed agriculture land houses, which has been reported damage of about 92 lakhs.
And in this our BROS have been instructed to assess all the damage done as soon as possible. And submit its report above, so that we can resolve their case as soon as possible and people can get the relief as soon as possible.
