Himachal News: Wife beat husband to death with a stick in Chamba, police arrested her

Chamba, April 4: A sensational murder case has come to light in Mugla Mohalla adjoining the district headquarters. It is alleged that the wife killed her husband by beating him with a stick. The incident is said to have taken place on Wednesday night, while the husband died on Thursday morning. The police have registered a case of murder against the accused wife and arrested her.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav said that preliminary investigation has revealed that there were frequent fights between the husband and wife. There was a dispute between the two on Wednesday night as well, after which the wife attacked husband Kewal (48) son Amar Lal. On Thursday morning, the accused wife and son went to their respective work. Meanwhile, Kewal asked for water from the neighbors, but when the police got the information in the afternoon, he was found unconscious in his room.

According to the neighbors, there were many injury marks on Kewal’s body. The police reached the spot and took stock of the situation and recorded the statements of eyewitnesses. On the basis of this, the accused wife has been arrested. The body has been sent to Medical College Chamba for postmortem. The police officer confirmed that the investigation of the case is going on and the real cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report.
