Sirmour News : Chlorine tablets are being distributed to protect people from diseases in Sirmour district

The sequence of rain is continuing in Sirmour district from the state itself. Due to rain, there is a possibility of contamination of water, due to which there is a danger of occurrence of water-borne diseases.

In this situation, Sirmaur District Health Department is distributing chlorine tablets to prevent water borne diseases in the water used for drinking water in the district. Chief Medical Officer Sirmaur Dr. Ajay Pathak said that a special campaign has been started as a precautionary measure to prevent water-borne diseases and chlorine medicines are being distributed to people through ASHA workers.

Along with this, people are also being made aware about its use and protection from water-borne diseases. In district Sirmaur, almost flood-like situation had arisen in entire Himachal.

Because of that situation there were some problems of drinking water, people came to alternate sources of water. So in view of this the possibility of spread of water borne diseases increases slightly. Seeing the possibility of increase of water borne diseases, we have taken some steps in Sirmour.

Through this wherever clean drinking water is not available. Chlorine meter water is not available. There we are distributing chlorine tablets door to door. Asha workers are going door to door. Chlorine tablets are also being distributed. People are also giving suggestions on how to keep their hands clean and how to protect yourself from waterborne diseases.
