G20 Summit 2023: The G-20 meeting will now be held in Varanasi, not in Agra; Know what is the reason
Agra hosted the G-20 meeting on women empowerment. After this, it was announced in August that the meeting of culture ministers would be proposed in Agra itself, but now it has been shifted to Varanasi.
The Culture Minister Group meeting and Working Group meeting proposed in August of G-20 will now be held in Varanasi instead of Agra. This is an opportunity to introduce the Culture Ministers of G-20 countries to the culture of India, in which the Central Government has given priority to Varanasi instead of Agra. In the official website of G-20 also, now the working group meeting of Ministry of Culture has been registered on August 24 to 25 and the meeting of Culture Ministers on August 26 in Varanasi itself.
Agra hosted
In February, the G-20 meeting on women empowerment was held in Agra, for which Tajnagari was decorated. The picture of Kheria Airport to Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Etmaddoula route was changed. Then in August, it was announced that the meeting of culture ministers would be proposed in Agra itself, but now it has been shifted to Varanasi.
Agra’s name missing
Recently, no instructions have been received from the central government regarding preparations for the G-20 on administrative, police, ASI, tourism and other departments associated with the Ministry of Culture. At the same time, the name of Agra is missing from the proposed event in August on the G-20 website. The meeting of the third working group of the Ministry of Culture is to be held in Hampi in July, followed by the meeting of the fourth working group in Agra from 24 to 26 August, but it will be held in Varanasi on the same dates. No instructions have come from the Ministry of External Affairs for booking hotels in Agra.
