In Himachal Pradesh, BJP’s Harsh Mahajan has won the Rajya Sabha elections by defeating the ruling party Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. The candidates of both the parties got 34-34 votes. After this, the decision was taken by slip in which BJP won. According to the information, Harsh Mahajan has not lost any election till date. Presently Mahajan is a member of the BJP core group. Harsh Mahajan was one of the close associates of former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh and was considered his key strategist. Harsh was MLA from Chamba assembly constituency three times. He was also the Animal Husbandry Minister in the Virbhadra government. He has also been the Chairman of State Cooperative Bank.
Mahajan has five lakh rupees in cash –
Harsh Mahajan has Rs 5 lakh in cash and his wife has Rs 75 thousand in cash. Mahajan also owns a hybrid Innova and another car and motorcycle including a Mercedes Benz company. Mahajan has jewelery worth Rs 5.84 lakh.

Harsh Mahajan has been MLA from Chamba Assembly constituency three times from 1993 to 2007. Since 2007, Mahajan had handled the elections of former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh. Mahajan, who became MLA for the first time in 1993, was the Chief Parliamentary Secretary in the then government. In 1998, he was elected Chief Whip of the State Congress. Mahajan became a cabinet minister in 2003. From 1986 to 1996, Mahajan was the President of State Youth Congress. Appointed Chairman of State Cooperative Bank in 2012. He was also the working president of Congress State Congress.
Who is Harsh Mahajan?
Harsh Mahajan is the son of former Assembly Speaker and cabinet minister Des Raj Mahajan. He was born on 12 December 1955 in Chamba. Mahajan has done B.Com and MBA. He studied at Shri Ram College of Commerce New Delhi and Delhi University. On 7 June 1983, he married Uma Singh. Harsh Mahajan joined the Bharatiya Janata Party during the assembly elections on 28 September 2022.
