Politics has heated up in Chamba district regarding the Manohar massacre. In protest against the Manohar massacre in Bhangarh village of Saloni sub-division of Chamba district, today various Hindu organizations, Saloni Murder Case Sangh Samiti observed bandh in Chamba district and during this a protest rally was also held in Chamba.
During this period, markets remained closed in various parts of the district including Chamba and traders also took to the streets to protest against the massacre. Chamba Vyapar Mandal President Surendra Mahajan said on the occasion that Manohar’s killers should be punished and his family should get justice. Today people have to come on the road to get it because the government has not been able to do anything special in this matter so far.
The organizations supporting the bandh also submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Deputy Commissioner. Today, on the appeal of the Sangharsh Samiti of our Saloni massacre, the District Trade Board has also decided that all those who will remain closed in our business place and the demand of this Sangharsh Samiti is that those who are guilty should be punished. Above should be investigated by NIA, and they should be hanged because this is not a minor crime,
It is a very heinous crime. And its investigation which is of high level is needed. District convenor of Bajrang Dal, Ravi Bhardwaj said that a heinous crime has taken place in Bhanjal and an impartial inquiry should be conducted immediately in this matter and the culprits should be punished severely.
Today the whole Hindu society is gathering. Hindu organizations and all other organizations are coming under one roof and are going to chant today. Manohar murder case is well known to all of you. It is taken, it is not heard as soon as possible. If the facts gathered by you are not brought in front of the people, then this movement will take a violent form and after that it will spread directly to the whole of India via Himachal.
Deputy Commissioner Apoorva Devgan said that the police and the administration are conducting an impartial investigation into the matter and every aspect related to the case is being closely scrutinized so that the accused can be given the harshest punishment.
People from different areas in Chamba and especially from Chamba town formed a delegation to the mill and submitted a memorandum here. The main point they wanted to make was that the matter should be investigated in other aspects. He is also seeking investigation by a special agency about the other things that are being said by the people or what is being speculated that there may be some other facts in it. The one who is the competent authority, that is the investigating agency itself. And the other competent authority, it will decide about it and we are only wishing that necessary action should be taken against those who are accused according to the law.
