UPSC 2023 Application Process

To apply for UPSC 2023 recruient examination candidates need to one time Register (OTR)themselves on the registration portal.

The registration process for UPSC 2023 has been started from February 1st, 2023 and the last date is 21st February, 2023.

The process to apply is as such:

The candidates need to log in to the following website  https://upsconline.nic.in/.

  • After logging into the portal register yourself by provide all the relevant data about yourself such as, Name, Date of birth, mobile number, E mail ID, Parents name, etc.
  • After registering yourself. Start filling the Application form with all the necessary information.
  • Upload all the certificates and documents necessary. Such as candidates photograph , signature etc.
  • Pay the due fee as per the fee criteria.

UPSC 2023 IMPORTANT DATES

Dates finalized by the Authority for the conduction of UPSC exams 2023 is as such:

Notification release date: 1st February, 2023.

UPSC Registration date: 1st February, 2023.

Last date for filling the application form: 21st February, 2023.

Correction window screening: 22nd february, 2023 to 28th february, 2023.

Civil services examination date: 28th May, 2023.

Civil Services main examination: 15th September, 2023.

UPSC 2023 Vacancies

The Union Public Services commission has announced 1255 seats available for various posts out of which 1105 are for CSE  and 150 are IFS posts.

Eligibility Critiria for UPSC 2023 Examination

For the candidates in order to ensure being eligibile for the posts announced by Union Public Services Examination 2023 it is adviced to read the below provided details.

Nationality Criteria

  • The Candidate should be a citizen of India or,
  • The candidate should be a citizen of Nepal.  Or,
  • The candidate should be a citizen of Bhutan. Or,
  • Any citizen or refugee of Tibet.
  • Migrants from other countries such as, Uganda, Zambia , Myanmaar, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka,  Veitnam,  Zaire.

Educational Qualifications needed for UPSC 2023

  • The candidate should have a graduations degree from any field from a recognised board.

Age Limit & Relaxation details of UPSC 2023

  • The Candidates age should not be less than 21 years.
  • The Candidates age should not exceed from 32 years.
  • Age dates as on 1st August, 2023.
  •  Age of OBC candidates should not be less than 21 years and should not exceed 35 years.
  • Age of SC/ST candidates should not be less than 21 years and should not exceed 37 years.
  • For Candidates who were Defence service officer disabled during an operation the relaxation is 3 years.
  • For the ex serviceman the relaxation is upto 5 years.
  • For PwD candidates the relaxation is upto 10 years.

Number of attempts allowed

  • The general candidates are allowed to take upto 6 attempts till the age of 32 years.
  • The OBC candidates are allowed to take 9 attempts.
  • There are no restrictions apied on SC/ST candidates. Therefore, they can apply for it till the maximum age required with unlimited attempts.

UPSC 2023 Selection process

The selection process of UPSC 2023 includes 3 stages.

Stage 1: Civil Services Preliminary Exams.

Stage 2: Civil Services Mains Exams.

Stage 3: Interview or Personality test round.
