Good News: HPU’s free coaching centre starts free coaching for HAS and IAS

Prof. Joginder Singh Dhiman, director of the former exam training centre, who is running HPU’s free coaching centre, said that now after the model code of conduct is removed, free classes of HAS and IAS will be started for the students so that the students can prepare for competitive exams.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 03Now the process of free coaching for HAS and IAS has started in the free coaching centre run by Himachal Pradesh University, Sumerhill (Shimla).Let us tell you that due to not getting permission from the Election Commission, the entire matter of starting the free coaching process for HAS and IAS in the free coaching centre by HPU was lying in cold storage, But as soon as the model code of conduct was removed by the Election Commission, HPU has started the free coaching process for HAS and IAS in its free coaching centre with immediate effect.

HPU had sent a proposal to the Himachal Pradesh government seeking permission to start the free coaching process for HAS and IAS in its free coaching centre, but approval was not given to start the process.

HPU had sought applications from students for free coaching of HAS and IAS in the free coaching centre till March 11 and after that the classes of HAS and IAS were to start.HPU has been preparing students for competitive exams in its free coaching centre for the last several years with the help of Pre-Exam Training Centre.Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class and General Category students are prepared for competitive exams in HPU’s free coaching centre.

All the candidates of Scheduled Caste and Backward Class, whose family’s annual income is less than eight lakh rupees and all the candidates of Scheduled Tribe category, whose family’s annual income is less than five lakh rupees, are prepared for competitive exams in HPU’s own free coaching centre.

Also, general category candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 2500 per month to prepare for competitive exams at HPU’s free coaching centre.
