Uproar over Rahul Gandhi’s statement in Parliament
There was a lot of uproar in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Monday over Rahul Gandhi’s statement in London. BJP MPs targeted Rahul Gandhi in one voice. Everyone raised the demand that Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the countrymen and the House.
In the Lok Sabha, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that Rahul Gandhi, a member of this House, has insulted India in London. I demand that his statements should be condemned by all the members of this House and he should be asked to apologize before the House.
In Rajya Sabha, BJP MP and former Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that Rahul Gandhi is a prominent opposition leader. He goes abroad and attacks Indian democracy in a shameful manner. He has insulted the people of India and the Parliament.
There is freedom of speech in India and MPs can speak in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi should apologize in Parliament. Goyal said, ‘We demand that Rahul Gandhi should come to Parliament and apologize to the people of the country and the House’.
