Una News: 11.55 Lakhs Were Cheated From 10 People In The Name Of FD-Shares, The Accused Woman Absconded After Locking The Bank

A case of fraud of Rs 11.55 lakh in the name of shares and FD has come to light on the management of a private bank opened after the lockdown in Una city. There are about 10 people who are victims in the entire case, who have appealed to the Una police administration for justice.

On receiving the complaint, Una police registered a case against the bank director under sections 420 and 406 IPC and started investigation.

According to complete information, Narinder Singh, resident of village and post office Bhakaredi tehsil Badsar, district Hamirpur, told in the complaint given to the Una police that the bank was opened after the lockdown in the year 2020 in Mohalla Galua along the Chandigarh-Dharamshala road. Priyanka Thakur resident of Churdi, Tehsil Bangana District Una was the director of the said bank. Complainant Narinder Singh told Una police that about 10 people including him had given money through FD and shares in the bank, but after the completion of their FD period, no money has been given to them by the bank.

Complainant Narinder Singh said that one year has passed since his FD was completed. A total of Rs 11,55,700 is payable by the bank. He also has bank account number and copies of FD and shares.

Accused Priyanka absconding after closing the bank from 11 months –

Complainant Narinder Singh said that accused bank director Priyanka has kept the bank closed from the last 11 months. When we call her, sometimes she says that the money will be received in a few days and sometimes she does not pick up the phone. Complainant Narinder Singh told Una police that accused director Priyanka Singh has also blocked the phone numbers of many account holders. When he came to Una, he found that Priyanka Thakur office was in a rented building in front of Una vegetable market, which she had closed without giving any notice and ran away. He said that Priyanka Thakur has cheated him and now She is threatening him to do whatever He wants.

These 10 people became victims of fraud –

Apart from the complainant Narinder Singh, other people who have become victims of this fraud include Manish Kumar resident of village and post office Bhayavi tehsil Bangana, Rajesh Kumar resident of village and post office Joh tehsil Ghanari district Una, Poonam Kumari resident Jakhal Sirmaur, Anil Kumar Jyoti Wala, Veena Devi resident of village Diyada, Davindra Pal village Baredi post office Churudu tehsil Amb district Una, Prakash Chand Dogra resident of Maihare, Shivani resident of Badsar district Hamirpur, Kamal Singh resident of Charada tehsil Bangana district Una.
