Since the construction of Atal Tunnel Rohtang, the world famous tourist destination Sissu, the first choice of a large number of tourists from outside states, has been completely closed for the next forty-five days. This important decision has been taken by the members of Sissu Local Panchayat Committee of Lahaul-Spiti district in order to ensure that there is no noise and disturbance in the important worship of Gods and Goddesses during Dev Karaj. From today, Monday, 15th January, till Wednesday, 28th February, no tourist activities of any kind will be organized in the world famous tourist destination Sissu. The important decision of keeping all the hotels and home stays closed for all the tourists from outside states in the world famous tourist destination Sissu for forty-five days has been taken by the members of Sissu Panchayat Committee.

Let us tell you that Raja Ghepan Committee, Devi Boti Committee as well as Lavrang Gompa Committee, before the beginning of the festivals dedicated to the Gods and Goddesses to be held during winter time and till the end of the festivals, there is no permission for any kind of activities in the world famous tourist destination Sissu.

Chief Principal Secretary of Sissu Panchayat Rajiv told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that due to Dev Karaj, all types of tourism activities in the world famous tourist destination Sissu area have been banned for the next forty-five days with immediate effect. Rajiv has said that in order to carry out the Dev Karaj and all the divine traditions without any interruption, noise and disturbance, an important decision of closing all the tourist activities in the world famous tourist destination Sissu has been taken by all the members of Sissu Panchayat Committee.
