Solan, July 10:In Subathu of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, those who usurped the hard-earned money of the common people have landed behind bars. On July 5, the current chairman of The Subathu Urban, NATCS, Sandeep Gupta lodged a complaint at the Dharmpur police station that the former chairman of the cooperative society Sushil Garg and secretary Amar Kashyap had embezzled more than Rs 18 crore in the society.

On scrutiny of the records, it was also revealed that Sushil Garg and Amar Lal Kashyap, ignoring the instructions issued by the cooperative department, distributed loans worth crores of rupees without security and beyond the limit to their friends, family members and business associates without the approval of the then management committee. This cooperative society has faced a huge financial crisis.

Apart from this, they looted by tampering with the records of the committee, due to which there is a lot of anger among the local people. A case has been registered in Dharmpur police station under section 409 of the Indian Penal Code. Accused Sushil Garg is absconding.

Accused Amar Lal Kashyap son of Krishan Lal resident of village Olgi (Subathu) also absconded after the trial, who had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the District and Sessions Court Solan on Monday to avoid arrest.

During the hearing, the anticipatory bail plea of ​​the accused was rejected by the District and Sessions Court Solan. After this, the team of Police Outpost Subathu arrested the accused Amar Lal Kashyap.

Solan SP Gaurav Singh confirmed that the accused is being produced in the court. The investigation of the case is going on.
