Nalagarh, June 28: In view of the bye-election to the 51-Nalagarh Assembly Constituency, a training programme was organized today at the Government College, Nalagarh for Sector Officers, Presiding Officers (PROs) and Assistant Presiding Officers (APROs), Polling Officers (POs), Women Polling Staff and Youth Management Staff.

The training programme was chaired by Dr. Ved Pati Mishra (IAS), General Observer appointed by the Election Commission of India.

On this occasion, Dr. Ved Pati Mishra asked questions from the presiding officers, assistant presiding officers and polling officers present there, from the mock drill of polling day to the final procedures of polling and shared important information. He instructed that all officers and employees should acquire proper information about all the rules and instructions related to the polling process and the working system of EVM and VVPAT. Also, they should receive training about the operation of EVM and VVPAT machines with full seriousness and alertness.

Election Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Nalagarh Divyanshu Singal gave detailed information about the smooth operation of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) during the voting process. He encouraged the polling personnel present to properly understand the process taught during the rehearsal.

In the second phase of training program, 154 polling officers and employees were trained. 121 polling stations have been set up for voting for the 51-Nalagarh assembly by-election.

On this occasion, Tehsildar Nalagarh Nisha Azad along with other concerned officers were present.
