Solan News: 2 Accused of Theft by Breaking the lock of House in Dharampur Arrested, Many Cases have already been registered against one

Police have arrested two accused who committed theft by breaking the lock of a house in Dharampur of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Several cases are already registered against one accused. The police have also recovered the stolen goods from these two accused. Solan SP Gaurav Singh said that the two thieves had targeted the locked house of a woman working in Dehradun.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, March 31: Police have arrested two local youths for stealing lakhs of rupees from a locked house in Nahun village of Dharampur in Solan district. One of these youths already has four cases registered against him for NDPS and theft. The police have also recovered the stolen goods from the possession of both the accused. While giving information on Sunday, SP Solan Gaurav Singh said that on March 28, a woman resident of village Nahun of Dharampur area had told that she works in Dehradun. Here her house remains closed.

On March 26, the ward member informed the woman over phone that some suspicious activities had been seen at her house. On which She sent an employee of her department to his house and found out that computer, gas cylinder, microwave, taps and some electrical items had been stolen from his house. On the complaint of the woman, Dharampur police registered a case under theft sections and started investigating the matter. After investigation, the police arrested 23-year-old Virendra Kumar alias Babu, resident of Gosan Garkhal and 22-year-old Paras, resident of Dharampur Old ITI.

Stolen goods have also been recovered from these two accused. During investigation, it has been found that accused Paras has been involved in criminal activities in the past as well, against whom a total of 4 cases have been registered in Dharampur police station. Out of which 2 are related to NDPS Act and 2 to theft. In which the total value of the stolen goods is said to be around Rs 2 lakh. SP Solan Gaurav Singh told that after presenting them in the court, these accused have been taken on police custody for 4 days. Further investigation of the case is going on.
