Sirmour : In Sirmour district the loss assessment of more than Rs 277 crore 82 lakh has been done so far
Due to heavy rains and landslides in the state, heavy losses are being seen in many districts. In Sirmour district also, since June 24, a loss of more than two hundred and seventy-seven crore eighty-two lakh rupees has been assessed.
District Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khemta said that maximum damage has been estimated by the Public Works Department in the district. The department has estimated a loss of about one hundred and twenty two crores due to damage to various roads.
Similarly, a loss of more than one hundred and two crore rupees has been done to the drinking water schemes. Due to the rains, the loss of power supply has also been estimated to be more than nine crores.
Due to the damage to kutcha and pucca houses of 23 people in the district, a loss of Rs.
Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khemta said that ten people have died in the district due to heavy rains and fourteen people have been injured. So far, one lakh sixty three thousand rupees have been given to the affected families in the district as differential relief by the administration.
He has directed the district administration and the concerned officials of various departments to keep an eye on the damage caused due to heavy rains and make continuous efforts to restore the roads, drinking water schemes and power supply affected due to rains.
