Shimla: Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Sunday laid the foundation stone of Badman to Basantpur road and Nadukhar sports ground under Sunni sub-division. Badman to Basantpur road is going to be constructed on MLA priority at a cost of about Rs 6.50 crore. An amount of about Rs 35 lakh will be spent on the sports ground.

Presiding over the program organized in Basantpur, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that every possible effort is being made to fulfill every demand of the people of the area. An amount of about Rs 55 crore is being spent on road works in Sunni area. The upgradation work of Shanola to Shadi road is being done under PM Road Scheme at a cost of Rs 6.50 crore. An amount of Rs 12 crore will be spent on the upgradation work of Jalog to Gadheri road. Rs. 4.80 crore is being spent on Madholghat to Jamog road, Rs. 7.50 crore is being spent on Khatnol-Dandibagh road and Rs. 5.40 crore is being spent on Bagh-Kyalu road. Apart from this, the construction work of Nayasair road is in progress.

Vikramaditya Singh said that the construction work of the building of Basantpur Polytechnic College is about to be completed with a cost of Rs 50 crores, he has instructed the officials to complete the construction works soon.

On this occasion, Panchayat head Meena Verma, Mandal President Gopal Sharma, Neem Chand Verma, BDC Vice President Prakash Chand, APMC member Pradeep Verma were present.

PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that the state government has taken special care of every section in the budget. For the first time in the budget, the government has announced the minimum support price of milk. Buffalo milk has been fixed at Rs 55 a liter and cow milk at Rs 45 a litre. This will definitely increase the economy of women also.
