Shimla News : Mayor Surendra Chauhan reviewed the ongoing works under the Smart City Mission
Under the smart city mission of the central government, many development works are going on in Shimla city. Mayor of Municipal Corporation Surendra Chauhan today inspected the works being done under the mission at various places of the city.
He said that the work of lift project in lower market and Lakkar market would be completed in three months, while the work of oxygen lift would be completed in the next five months.
The Mayor said that the Central Government has extended the duration of the smart city for one year and during this time a target has been set to complete all the works under construction.
He said – Ropeway and lift are their work at three places in Shimla. A lower market will approach upto from Sundar Panchari towards Mall road. The second lift is near Nukkad Bazaar. The third lift is near the opponent tunnel. Today we are inspecting all the three lifts.
Today we have come here in the lower market, so the company has told us about its details, we will prepare it in about September and try to dedicate it to the public. He said that smart city mission in Shimla city. Due to the delay in the works, the cost is increasing and it is also causing economic loss, so efforts are being made to complete all these works as soon as possible.
