Junior engineers working in the Railways have died after being hit by a train engine at the railway station in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The junior engineer died on the spot after the train collided with the engine.

The entire accident happened on Monday around 5 pm. Deceased junior engineer has been identified as Harbans Lal (47), son of Hem Singh, resident of Balh in Mandi district.

Deceased junior engineer Harbans Lal was posted as JE in KCNW yard of Shimla railway station.

According to complete information received from the Railway Police, the engine of a train that reached Shimla from Kalka was being parked in the yard. Meanwhile, JE Harbans Lal, who was on duty, came under the influence of the engine and died on the spot. After the entire accident, there is panic at Shimla railway station.

The police team of the railway station took the body into custody and sent it to IGMC for post-mortem.

The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem on Tuesday. Deceased JE Harbans Lal leaves behind his wife, two daughters aged 12 and 6 and a son.

The painful death of deceased JE Harbans Lal has brought mountain of grief to his family. All three children are living with their mother in Balh.

On the other hand, the Railway Police has registered a case against the engine driver.
