Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on Friday met the candidates of JOA (IT) Post Code 817 and Drawing Master Post Code 980, who were on a hunger strike in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla from February 9 demanding declaration of recruitment results. Many BJP MLAs were also present. The leaders supported the movement and assured to raise their demand prominently in the House. Jairam Thakur said that even on the first day of the Assembly session, after the Governor’s address, he had raised the issue of declaring the results of other pending recruitments including JOA IT and Drawing Master. He alleged that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is unnecessarily delaying the results and he enjoys stalling the work. His guarantee of providing five lakh jobs in five years is proving to be a failure. Why have the recruitment results been withheld? The government has no answer to this.
Now even the Supreme Court has asked to declare the results of the recruitment. The three month time limit is also about to end. Despite this, the government is not declaring the results of the recruitment. He said that the government is making an excuse for the vigilance inquiry, whereas in the legal opinion taken on this, it had asked to declare the results of all the candidates except the seven candidates named in the vigilance case. There are many candidates who have passed the written examination and type test, they are now going to be overage. If there is no result, then their last chance for a job will also be lost. He demanded the Chief Minister and the state government to declare these pending results soon. Chandan, Sukesh, Dheeraj, Harsh, Rajpal, Sunil Kumar, Shivali, Ruchika informed Jairam Thakur and the MLAs about the entire matter and their problems.
