Along with breaking the glass of the cars, they even took out the engines of many cars. Due to which the owners who park their vehicles on the roadside have to bear the loss of lakhs of rupees.

New Shimla Police has reached the spot and laid a trap to catch the miscreants. At night, local people park their cars in Jhanjiri of Khalini Ward and at the same time, there is a gathering of drug addicts, due to which New Shimla Police have confirmed that the cars were vandalized and parts were stolen by drug addicts.

Khalini ward councilor Chaman Lal told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that why the police post is not being opened in Khalini, which is becoming a den of drug addicts. Shimla Police has turned a blind eye while the Municipal Corporation has converted the rooms to open the police post. Taking the Shimla Police to task, he said that the day such a big accident happens in Khalini, the eyes of Shimla Police will open. He also said that if the post had been opened on time, then such incidents would not have happened in Khalini today. He Also said that even during elections there is no patrolling and the police are sleeping.
